Department Q - Automation came from a necessity of providing high quality services with qualified and experienced Automation Engineers and technicians.
Founded in Denmark in 2021, by Jorge Luis, the company main purpose is to provide a qualified consulting services within automation.
These include from developing customised solutions and software, system optimisation, commissioning, human machine interfacing, troubleshooting, system operation manuals and customer training.
Hi,
I am Jorge Luis, a Portuguese Automation Engineer. Turning the chapter of 10 years working as an Automaton Engineer, I decided this was the right time to take one of the greatest challenges of my life, and start my own company.
The last 10 years I have been working all around the world. After finishing my master degree I worked, in Portugal at Efacec as a controls engineer. From Portugal I took a flight to Austria, to join TGW Mechanics and work as an automation and commissioning engineer. After 3 years I decided to move to Denmark, to join Beumer DK, formerly known as Crisplant to work as commissioning engineer, later I joined Riantics now Körber DK, working as an automation engineer. During these 10 years I have provided solutions for several top world companies, such as Coca-cola, Amazon, P&G, Inditex.
My next 10 year challenge is to keep growing and developing myself as a managing engineer and as a human being. I am excited to see the grow and consolidation of Department Q, a company were I want my personal values to be reflected. Everyone knows that success comes after hard work, and I couldn't agree more, but it also comes after, building trustable relations, continuously seeking the best solution, being transparent and always providing a best in class solution.
What we can deliver at work, is a result of our wellbeing, and therefore I believe on the importance of a good work-life balance. On my spare time, I love exploring the West Coast of Jutland (Denmark), and you often will see me there with a surfboard under my arm, or riding my motorcycle.
